The much talked about winds at 150km /hr failed to materialise, at least in the South of Tenerife, although other placed seem to have fared badly and Mt Teide still boasts a white cap of snow (pictured), so on the first day of March, which normally heralds Spring, there is still a slight risk of rain. Having said that, today was wall to wall sunshine, a glorious day, perhaps the best example of why many of us chose to live in this marvellous climate.
On the sporting front, Tenerife played Real Madrid in Santa Cruz yesterday, and despite bravely pulling a goal back just after half time making the score 2-1, two late goals, including one for Ronaldo, meant the Tenerife team lost 5-1. Our own teams, Clear Blue Tenerife Sur A and B were both in action over the weekend and fared somewhat better than their big brother in Santa Cruz. The A team beat Joyeria San Miguel 2-1 in a battle at at El Medano on Friday night, and the B team saved face with a late Darren Chamberlain goal to finish 1-1 versus Taxis de Arona.
Hope you all have a great March,
